    Description

    Vintage 4-3/8" long ISTANBUL ST. SOPHIA Souvenir Spoon made of 800/1000 silver.  The tip of the handle is enameled with a depiction of the Hagia Sophia Museum.
    The Museum was formerly the Greek Orthodox Christian Patriarchal Cathedral - then an Ottoman imperial mosque and now the Hagia Sophia Museum.  T
    he reverse of the spoon is plain.
    The bowl of the spoon is plain with the exception of "800" impressed in the edge of the bowl.
    It weighs 10.95 grams on my digital scale.
    We inherited this spoon in 1978 and packed it away, where it has remained ever since.  Please enlarge and carefully review all the photos, asking any questions before bidding, using the "Contact seller" link.
