Warwick Painted Pewter Retired Jointed Blond Bear - Artisan Dollhouse Miniature

This adorable doll's nursery toy was made by Warwick Miniatures of England. Warwick is still in business, but this painted teddy is a retired item, likely from the 1980s, and so is very rare now.
This sweet toy is made of pewter and was hand painted by Warwick Miniatures.
He is jointed at the shoulders and hips, so can sit on a shelf or raise his arms to his face: the joining wire is tight enough that he cannot stay seated unless he has a wall or something else sturdy behind him to keep him from reverting to a prone position (or a dot of wax to hold him in place). Similarly, he may need a dot of wax at the shoulder joint (or to rest his arm on a support) to help him keep his arm raised; otherwise they will fall to his side or straight out in front of him.
The piece bears the Warwick Miniatures maker's mark stamped into his back, although it is quite hard to read. (I had to take into daylight and peruse it under high magnification to finally make out the words: "Warwick Miniatures
©".
This piece would be perfect for a nursery or toy shop.
